Why were wyverns wary when witnessing willies?

Wyverns are dragon-like creatures, seen throughout popular culture from Dungeons and Dragons to Game of Thrones. Like dragons, they are aggressive and attack without provocation. Unlike dragons, they are terrified of naked men. According to medieval bestiaries, wyverns would blush and run away from nude humans, the reason being that they were afraid of humans with nothing to hide.

We must save that for the W series, assuming we get that far, though Commander Lloyd did once assure me that we would start on numbers once we reached Z.

On a side issue. If you changed "of" in the title to "when witnessing" it would be slightly funnier.

Well, officer, the reason I'm wondering through the woods naked is that I'm a bitsy scared of encountering a Wyvern
