Ood fruit

I saw these unusual citrus fruits in the orangery at Versaille.
They are probably Buddha's hand lemons but I prefer to think of them as ood fruit.

Do they taste like ordinary lemons? They're a gorgeous sight (well they were until 'yorz mentioned John Hurt's stomach).

They're not really used in cooking very much. You can make candied peel but mostly they're used for the strong smelling oil.
