I know. If there is one thing that furries do get, it's bad publicity.

I saw something quite interesting. WikiFur is currently the 13th most active Wikia in the world.

Apart from Wikipedia, more active wikias include Wookieepedia (Star Wars), Halopedia (Halo) and eWrestling (Internet Wrestling).

Yes, it works by keeping the girls away. ;-)

(actually, that's not true - we get quite a few female artists at furry cons . . .)

Furries have now made it into the Guinness Book of World Records. Anthrocon is offically the, "Largest furry fan club" in the world (although Anthrocon is not actually a club, but a convention).

It mentions that 2,489 people attended in 2006, and last year, 2,849 attended. Another world record attempt is to made next year, hoping to break the record for the largest amount of mascots in a parade.

That is absolutely nauseating; I'm not sure if people who do that are just playing or so appalling in bed that they're deflecting from the fact.

Good to see you're joining The Metro in taking a non-judgemental standpoint.

Anyone who says they don't pass judgement is deceiving themselves and trying to impress others.

I don't do either; I say what I think and if I find something unpleasant or ridiculous, I'll damned well say so.

In that case, so will I.

QoW's post is unpleasant and ridiculous.

great article :P best one representing the furry fandom to now :3

only one thing tho, a tiny misprint...
"a survey of over 600 furries showed that 37.3% of the people who took part were bisexual. 32.7% were heterosexual and 25.5% were bisexual." <-< either 62.8% are bisexual... or you just typed "bisexual" twice :P (no probs, does this a lot myself)

no offence intended, just trying to avoid future confusion ^-^

I've corrected it. Sorry about the mistake.

Bump.

There's a "Yiff! The Furry Musical" coming out soon. Most of the preliminary stuff (songs, rehearsals etc.) can be found on YouTube.
The songs REALLY strike a chord with me (I'm a furry), especially
Furreality.

Go check them out!
