The Church Of England has never lost a court case.

Atleast that's what I heard. Does anyone have any proof otherwise?

Not me, but I guess they just pursued their cases all the way through to the House of Lords, where they have 250 special representatives.

Or maybe they really do have access to an even higher authority.

250? Only 26, if you're referring to the bishops. In any case, when the House of Lords sits as a court, the bishops, like most of the peers, don't get a look in. Just the Law Lords, I think.
