Carrying on the theme...
The Seven Evils, according to the Confucian government in Korea, were seven reasons for which a man could "expel" his wife. Known in Korean as "ch’ilgo chiak", these seven evils were:
disobeying parents-in-law
bearing no son
committing adultery
jealousy
carrying a hereditary disease
talkative to a fault
larceny

And so it goes...
According to Buddhist teachings, there are eight evils associated with the use of a leaf hut (well, it's news to me!). These are:
1) The great labour involved in searching for materials and in the putting of them together
2) The constant care necessary to replace the grass, leaves, and bits of clay that fall down
3) The liability to interruption
4) The protection afforded against heat and cold renders the body delicate
5) The cover it affords for disgraceful practices (!)
6) The taking possession, saying, “This is mine”
7) To have a house is like having a companion
8) The sharing of it with many others, as for instance with lice, bugs, and house-lizards

Oh, I love that, Bob. Looks like a list drawn up by a husband for not having to do the jobs on his wife's list of jobs for him to do (because he hasn't found a reason to expel her yet). |

What’s the highest number of “Evils”? I’m up to fifteen so far (St Paul, I think). If there was a number missed out, we could invite the panellists to come up with their own list to fill the gap. |

Making babies cry is a sport in Japan.
Quote: | Babies, held by amateur sumo wrestlers, cry loudly during a baby-crying contest at Sensoji temple in Tokyo April 28, 2007. Eighty-four babies born in 2006 took part in the event, which is held to pray for the babies' health and growth. The winner of the contest is the baby who cries the loudest. |

Maybe something like "What is the most evil contest in the world" might send the comedians into potentially productive territory. I'm sure we can find some other bad stuff.
I'll say "picture researchers" here anyway, just in case. |

Blatantly unusable, but what was the most deadly act of mass murder at an American school?
The Bath School Disaster
Quote: | The Bath School disaster is the name given to three bombings in Bath Township, Michigan, USA, on May 18, 1927, which killed 45 people and injured 58. Most of the victims were children in second to sixth grades attending the Bath Consolidated School.
The perpetrator was school board member Andrew Kehoe, who was upset by a property tax that had been levied to fund the construction of the school building. He blamed the additional tax for financial hardships which led to foreclosure proceedings against his farm. These events apparently provoked Kehoe to plan his attack. |
c.f. 32 people killed in the Virginia Tech incident. |
