While the bermuda triangle may sound romantic, the notion of aliens, giant gas bubbles and military conspiracies is all wrong. According to Lloyds registry of shipping (who hold every statistic of every ship ever to hit the water) the area defined as the bermuda triangle contains no more unexplainable dissapearences per unit area than any other region of ocean on the face of the earth.

ha!..Just what I'd expect them to say! Their denial proves there is something seriously wrong in that area..I'll call Oliver Stone right now and we'll get onto explaining what's really going on in a million dollar blockbusting movie..(Probably starring Tom Hanks)

It is a tradition that every year Bermuda sends Easter Lilies to Her Majesty The Queen. The export of lilies was once an major source of income for the island.

On 10 March 1973 Sir Richard Sharples, the governor of the island and his ADC Captain Hugh Sayers were shot dead by a Black Power assassin outside Government House following a dinner party. He was the only governor of a British colonial territory to be assassinated.

Erskine Burrows, their killer, and his accomplice Larry Tacklyn were executed for the murders on 2 December 1977. Both executions were to be the last carried out on British territory in the world.
