Why not splash out on a few early Christmas presents and see if we can get it to No.1?

Too late - I already bought mine from the QI bookshop! Mind you, I bought those as presents for other people, so I could always buy one from Amazon for myself.

Surely, Jenny, a lady of your calibre doesn't have to stoop to autodonation at Christmas? If no-one else will buy one for you I'm more than happy to have a reciprocal arrangement.

Bless.

Eagle-eyed, cabs! But don't worry: a free one is already in the post!

(To her I mean, you're going to have to win yours in the competition...)

Just to let you know as well for what it's worth,
Its a best seller (Number 1) and has been for weeks thanks to preorders in my little internet cornershop.

Why must I win mine in the competition? Is there some sort of injunction in place preventing me from visiting a bookshop?

You could always test the theory by running into a Waterstones and looking all triumphant when you reach the back wall.

Can I have a point for trying to be helpful and nice? Please. Just a little one. Go on.

I bought this book on Wednesday for reading at work as we had our television removed from us. Some of my collegues read a few pages then popped out to buy their own copies. If you haven't already bought it, I highly recommend it!

I bought it for my future son-in-law for his birthday, and my daughter tells me he loves it and keeps reading bits out to her.
