I have heard, watching the show, that Island and Finland sometimes are refered as Scandinavian countries which is incorrect. The Scandis is an old mountain chain ranging from Denmark, below water and up between Sweden and Norway. The three countries make up the geographic region named Scandinavia. However Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Island are all part of the Nordic countries.
Pardon me if you already knew this.
Best wishes
Erik

Hi Erik, and thanks for the correction. You're right - Iceland and Finland aren't Scandinavian but are Nordic. People are careless sometimes. Stick around and join in conversations - you're welcome :-)
