I'm new here and really joined to get the answer to one question; what dose the domino shaped symbol mean in series 'N'. As an electronics engineer I seen a few dot matrix codes and the like in the pass 50 years, but that one has me stumped. Any ideas

Hi Jenny. I'm pleased I'm not the only in the dark about this.

I didn't see the "N" series, do we have an image of the symbol in question?

Hi Chrissdee.
Imagine the six on a dice, with the middle left and bottom right dots missing

It's braille I believe

If so it would be the letter "n".

You can see the Braille alphabet here (and in many other places).

The pattern you describe is indeed the Braille representation of the letter <N>.

As numbers of places are countable it would be accurate to say "in n other places", spookily...
