In the Netherlands the Sphinx-shaped building A of Radio Kootwijk somehow survived WWII. Apparently it's the country's single most popuar destination during the annual, free Open Monuments Day (also known as European Heritage Day).

During WWII the Germans used the station for communications with submarine troops.

Possible entertainment at the site is trying to find the intentional mosaic floor design error:
