Earlier this week the Brexit Party staged a protest in the European Parliament by turning their backs on the European anthem, Beethoven's Ode to Joy. The EU doesn't use Friedrich Schiller's original German text, but I wish they'd sung this rather wonderful English soundalike version by James Hogg (originally posted on the Usenet newsgroup alt.usage.english):

Freud has shown a girl to function,
Talked her out of leaving home.
Weirdly trading for your truncheon,
English hairline, high-league dome.
Dine the sow but bin the feeder.
Quasimodo's stench behind.
A limb, wench, inferred in-breeder.
Would I stand for feeble mind?
