Search isn't working for me at the moment - anyone else having the same problem?

Working for me - did you use a word/term that's not in the forums at all? That'll yield a nil result. I just did a test on 'London'.

(people try that with library catalogues all the time, the book's not in and they think the catalogue/computer isn't working)

No, search isn't working at all. I can't use "view posts since last visit" or anything else that relies on the search facility - I just get an error message "Could not insert search results", "Debug mode" and a load of incomprehensible code.

EDIT: Just logged out and back in again and it's working now. Should have thought of that before!

The good old "turn it off and turn it back on again" theory.....

Yes, which I tried endlessly last week with the school library's printer/copier to no avail.
Both switches and the power point on the wall. Turned out it was a general Xerox issue instead and the tech guy had to do something.

What you describe there is a known intermittent error which is currently in the IT Elf's pending tray.

For reasons not yet fully understood, it seems mainly to happen when a user attempts to make a one word post. If anyone encounters it when making a longer post, that would be worth mentioning here.
