There is usually a running list of themes and guests on the show's Wikipedia page and the British Comedy Guide as they're recorded, but the earliness of this year's recordings seems to have rather taken them by surprise and they've not been kept up to date this year. Here's what I've got:

Recording #1 (27/02/18) - Plants. Stephen K Amos, Jason Manford, Sara Pascoe
Recording #2 (01/03/18) - Phenomenal. Cariad Lloyd, Paul Sinha, Josh Widdicombe
Recording #3 (01/03/18) - Publicity and Privacy. Bridget Christie, Victoria Coren Mitchell, Phill Jupitus
Recording #4 (06/03/18) - Unknown theme. Noel Fielding, Hannah Gadsby, Joe Lycett
Recording #5 (08/03/18) - Parts. Ed Balls, Sara Pascoe, Johnny Vegas
Recording #6 (08/03/18) - P-Animals. Danny Baker, Teri Hatcher, Phill Jupitus
Recording #7 (12/03/18) - Unknown theme. Gyles Brandreth, Jimmy Carr, Sally Phillips
Recording #8 (13/03/18) - Pastimes. Joe Lycett, Ellie Taylor, Phil Wang
Recording #9 (13/03/18) - Picnics. Richard Osman, Rachel Parris, Romesh Ranganathan
Recording #10 (20/03/18) - Christmas special. Noel Fielding, Cariad Lloyd, Josh Widdicombe
Recording #11 (26/03/18) - Postal. Susan Calman, Matt Lucas, Holly Walsh
Recording #12 (27/03/18) - Pathological. Ed Byrne, Rhod Gilbert, Sindhu Vee
Recording #13 (27/03/18) - ????
Recording #14 (03/04/18) - Procrastination. Aisling Bea, Nikki Bedi, Holly Walsh
Recording #15 (04/04/18) - Unknown theme. Jimmy Carr, Alice Levine, Lee Mack
Recording #16 (04/04/18) - Unknown theme. Aisling Bea, Lee Mack, Jason Manford

Paul Sinha

No less of a person than Bradley Walsh advocated for Paul Sinha to appear on QI, so clearly Sir Bradley has influence. When we get around to S for Soporific, can we have S for Shaun Wallace?

Ed Balls

I believe the expression is "WTF". Mr Balls's comedy career must have passed me by, but is the episode on which he appears perhaps P for Politics possibly?

Non-comedy guests are hardly unprecedented. And Mr Balls is a genuinely interesting person - his autobiography was totally engrossing.

I can fill in some details as I was at some of these recordings.

Episode 5: Theme was "Parts".
Episode 11: Theme was "Postal".
Episode 12: Theme was "Pathological" and the guests were Rhod Gilbert, Ed Byrne and Sindhu Vee.

I'll correct it now, thanks - I wasn't sure which of the 27 March recordings was the one I had info for, but unless Byrne and Gilbert were on again in the evening it seems my previous info as to the third guest was erroneous...

I managed to get to five recordings this series, so I can help fill in some of the gaps:

Glad to see Ed Byrne get on at last, I can remember him ranting on Mock the Week once about how he'd never been on QI. Sad to see that David Mitchell didn't make it on this series though.

I assume that the fact that the elves are down in Australia this May is the reason they are being recorded earlier

It's actually because The London Studios are closing and getting demolished in the next few months, so the team wanted to get one more series done in their usual studio before they have to find somewhere new for Series Q in 2019.

I was in London when Mr Balls appeared on the show, however, I chose not to attend that recording. I attended the recording beforehand, after which several elves seemed rather nervous about what Mr Balls's performance would be like. I also attended the recording immediately afterwards, and found those same elves enthusing about just how good he had been.

I look forward to seeing what I missed :)

At the risk of lowering the tone here, "Procrastination" looks like a total babe fest!!!

You sexist pig!

I wasn't thinking similar about Rachel Parris and Ellie Taylor, honest!

I am surprised they got round to doing one one procrastination.

I'm going to make a prediction now and say that the XL of Procrastination episode will be the one that gets postponed for the usual tedious reasons.

To be fair, it was the final script to get finished:
