Hi folks! Long time QI fan. I am an American living and working in Mongolia for the past 3 years, researching the revival of Mongolia's indigenous religion among the younger generation and hopefully publishing a book this year.

I love QI because I adore weird and fun trivia and I agree that everything can be interesting (I once ended up watching a fascinating documentary about scissors....)

Huge language nerd (7 at present count), can't put my pants on in one try (Worst record is four then putting on a skirt), Accidentally became a pop star in the Himalayas, and sang in Yiddish on Mongolian television with a traditional Mongolian band.

I get the feeling QI folk are going to be my new community.

Lovely to meet you all! --Amalia

Love that music :)

What instrument are you playing in the first link?

G'day! It's called a Dranyen and it's a central Tibetan lute. Wonderful instrument and lots of fun to play.
