Yes, although not for that reason.

The requirement to get a blood test before marriage was introduced across the US and Canada in the 1930s, and the stated objective was that most people preferred to know if their intended spouse had syphilis before they got married.

Canada ditched the requirement in the 70s, and most states of the US followed in the 80s and 90s. In Canada at least, the requirement was waived if the would-be bride was pregnant, which means that my parents wouldn't have been required to get blood tests.

Only DC, Mississippi, and Montana still have the requirement. So does New York, but only if you're black; this is claimed as testing for sickle cell disease. Ann Coulter wants it reintroduced right across the US, which sounds like a very strong argument not to do it.
