Hi all

A) not sure if this is still ongoing
B) if this fits in

But

The first cock rings were made from goat eyelashes

"Cock rings were commonly used in Jin and Song era China (around 1200), and were made from the eyelids of goats. The goats' eyelashes were usually left on to add an extra bit of stimulation for the humans involved. " taken from Buzzfeed admittedly but they cite The Book of Kink: Sex Beyond the Missionary
By Eva Christina (2011)

link

Thanks

P for patents, penis and Pfizer. In 2011, drug company Pfizer received a huge extension to its patent for Viagra, raising from 2012 to 2019 in the US. In 2012 it increased again to April 2020*. However, Pfizer and another drug company Teva came together in a settlement to allow a generic version of the drug to arrive in the American market by the end of this year. Next year we can expect an upsurge in popularity as after the Viagra patent expired in the UK in 2013, prescriptions doubled in 3 years while prices drooped by 93%.

*If it lasts longer than 4 hours go to A&E ASAP. See priapism https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/priapism and avoid Brazilian wandering spiders

Priapism is a very serious illness and it needs immediate attention from a medical specialist. Especially if it's ongoing from 2012.

Talking of Pfizer. I had to make a delivery to their place in Kent (iirc), and was only given the name of the company (this was before it became known for the little blue pills) and the town. When i asked for more details, the boss told me "You'll see it when you get there."

He was right. It pretty much WAS the town! Never seen a single company take up so much land in one place before.

The pharmaceutical industry have a big presence in Puerto Rico and there are worries of drug shortages at the moment. 72% of their exports are in pharmaceuticals. But back on topic, the town of Barcenoleta was known as the Town Viagra Built and at one point the only source of the little blue pills. In 2008 Pfizer stopped producing Viagra there.

Or 2013 when the patent expired in the UK.

I hope the hard-ons would have withered by now.

That would have been the old Pfizer site on both sides of (and indeed crossing by means of at least two bridges) Ramsgate Road just outside Sandwich. I don't believe it was ever officially called Pfizerville, but that is how it was known locally.

And then they moved out. At least one of the bridges has been dismantled (I think the covered footbridge may still be there), and the site is now called Discovery Park.

Should you ever be in a pub in Sandwich, tread very carefully before you mention the word Pfizer. The reaction may be comparable to the one you'd get if you marched into a Rangers pub dressed as Gerry Adams and started singing The Fields of Athenry. In Irish.
