A bit tenuous, but I just found out that two books published by Tycho Brahe in the late 1500s are being digitized and are to be made available online. Plus they are planning a "what did Tycho Brahe observe on this date" where you can look up his actual observations.

There's bound to be planets in it.

To be launched in February 2018.
Watch this space.

I wonder if post 1271440 might provide some entertaining banter, especially if panellists included denizens of either Canada or God's own county.
I can just imagine Sandi's face if she said, "Readers were asked what their ideal planet would be like.
One replied, 'Like Yorkshire'"

Now, "Like a Yorkshire [pud]", I could go with.

Would that have an enormous crater filled with gravy?

No, because then you probably wouldn't want to put jam on it.

It is now known as Haumea, and it has a rotational period of slightly under 4 hours.

Quite right! Everybody knows it should be golden syrup.

Had 'em with fish fingers; jam; golden syrup; vanilla ice cream (well worth a go); fresh fruit; tinned peaches; veg curry; chilli san carne; and other foodstuffs (but not all at the same time, before anyone asks) - all brilliant. YPs are more waffly versatile than the waffle.

Anyway, this is high-octane doffcocking. Planets.

When have we ever had an issue with doffcocking?

Well, we haven't (except Guy), but I do feel that perhaps we need to keep the thread header at least in distant sight sometimes.

Let's face it, a Yorkshire pudding is just a differently shaped pancake, so all those could be enjoyed with, as well as beef and gravy and roast spuds.

Planets.

Guy's not been around much of late, has he?

Maybe the appearance of a Yorkshire pud planted the idea of a flat Earth in Samuel Shenton's head, so it could be planetary related.

My feeling is that a good Yorkshire pudding needs nothing to improve it - though golden syrup is certainly an intriguing idea...

Exactly my point on a FB thread, which got me insulted quite a lot, and very unnecessarily.

Not personally, I trust.

Oh, yes.
