Not so much a quibble as an addition. On the QI twitter feed you mentioned examples of funny names for fish and chip shops. I remember Stephen Fry doing a Radio 4 documentary about puns, and mentioned some other examples. These included "Northern Sole", "Good Buy Mr. Chips" and "A Fish Called Rhonnda".

In Stockton-on-Tees there is a fish and chip shop called "Family Robinson's" but for years then shop sign wrongly had it down as "Family Robinson,s".

Not exactly fish & chips, but in Melton Mowbray and Oakham there are Chinese takeaways called Wok This Way.

There used to be a fish & chip shop in Guildford called "Stephen's Fry", but I don't think it's there any more.

In my area, there's Rock & Roe over in Egham Hythe and the now closed Rock & Sole on the way over to Sunbury.

There's also a chippy called Salt & Vinegar which recently opened in Staines town centre.

When I went on holiday in Bournemouth in the 1970s I saw a fish and chip shop entitled, rather unsubtly, as Chish and Fips.
