Education in the US is more segregated now than 50 years ago

63 years ago the Supreme Court prohibited school segregation in Brown v. Board of Education. But according to Richard Rothstein, a research associate at the Economic Policy Institute, black students in the United States today are less likely to attend schools with white students than they were half a century ago.

"2016 federal data showed that poor, black and Hispanic children are becoming increasingly isolated from white, affluent children in America’s public schools"
