I regret to say there was a error tonight at the recording at the London studios. Stephen Fry said that in a law case that the "v" is not announced in the instance of say R v. Edwards. Instead he said it was read as "R an Edwards" (or something akin!), basically the "v" is replaced with the word "an". However, this is infact only partly correct. In criminal cases the "v" is still said, it is only in civil cases that the "v" is said as "an".

I was unable to speak with anyone and inform them of my concern, I hope this can be sorted out?

Thanks for the warning, which is noted.

Not so much a research error as an off-the-cuff comment by Stephen, who we'll be suing. (Not really)

I think he said "and", BTW.

He probably did, but I was at the back of the audience. It was a lot of fun on Friday, my first time.
