The Imperial War Museum at Duxford has one of the original Concordes on display. When they landed it there, they needed a special parachute braking system as the runway was too short for a regular landing. After it landed the M11 was built and the runway was shortened even further so now, it couldn't take off even if they wanted it to.

I might fly there for one of the air shows later this year. My Dad has a private pilot's license. It can be very useful. |

Sally B, who starred in Memphis Belle. She deserved an Oscar. |

Duxford is a two (minimum) day trip, so much to see, the B52 is huge, the TR3 lovely, I want my own Vampire. The idiot responsible for terminating the chance of future concorde flights deserves a slow and painfull death |

Does anybody know if there is any flying at Duxford in November?
Any Spitfires? I'd love to see it fly when I'm there. Ansel |
