He's the "second coming of God" for the Jews. Not sure who he thinks the first was, since the Jews don't acknowledge Jesus.

They do, just not as the Messiah, at best he's regarded as a prophesied failed Messiah who causes schism (SPLITTER!) and the establishment of a following for a false god.

Donald isn't the Messiah - he's a very naughty boy!

We could nail him to a cross and wait for three days to see what happens.

"I would much rather entrust the security of my family to the capable force of the American military than to a rag-tag bunch of smug Danish liberals. ".... deftly avoiding discussing the person that currently has his pudgy hands on the red button...

Capt.:
Truly to speak, and with no addition,
We go to gain a little patch of ground
That hath in it no profit but the name.
To pay five ducats, five, I would not farm it;
Nor will it yield to Norway or the Pole
A ranker rate, should it be sold in fee.

Hamlet: Why, then the Polack never will defend it.

Capt.: Yes, it is already garrison'd.

Murder rate USA - 4.9 per 100,000 population
Murder rate Denmark - 0.8 per 100,000 population

Stats from 2012 via Wikipedia

Those damnable lefty Danish liberals seem to be doing a better job of protecting their citizens

Yes, and there's that thing called "diplomacy" which is used to create that other thing called "alliances" that those liberals actually care about.

My friend and I were saying that we were all in favour of trade agreements with the US, provided they start with Colt, Winchester, Remington, Smith and Wesson etc, and bring with them the concommitent laws regarding the right to keep and arm bears or something....

That's a step too far, Chris - the forum is still recovering from you asserting your right to a bare chest...

This morning I'm hearing how thousands of dollars has been wiped from the Australian share market as a direct result of Trump's tweets about everything.

Much as I shall not be displaying it on these forums, I had a bare chest for much of this afternoon and I absolutely defend crissdee's right also to have one.

I cannot agree with him about guns, and I'm sure he knew that I wouldn't. I could quote the well known line that Voltaire never actually said but that would be trite, so I shall instead suggest that he is careful what he wishes for.

As we've seen on the news, there's a hurricane (Dorian) currently running up the east coast of the USA, it's hammered The Bahamas. Upwards of 30000 homes have been destroyed and no-one yet knows what the casualties will be. But of course this catastrophic natural disaster couldn't stop Trumpy McTrumpface lying.

He'd tweeted out that it was going to hit Alabama. Now that might seem trivial, but it isn't. Thirty minutes after that tweet, the National Weather Service had to announce that no, the hurricane wasn't going to go into Alabama. At all. Naturally because Trump is a malignant narcissist he couldn't possibly say 'Ooops, I'm very sorry, I screwed up'. No. Instead he showed a weather may in the Oval office today with the cone of destruction altered by him with a black sharpie pen. No, I'm not making it up.

Why does it matter? Well apart from highlighting his pathological lying and dementia, false information when it comes to this sort of stuff can cost lives. It's also illegal (a federal crime) to do what he did*.

For us in the UK, of course, the bigger concern is that Trump is Bojo's best buddy and role model, so we can probably ex[pect similar behaviour here (monkey see, monkey do). I can see that "misconduct in public office" charge being dusted off ready for more outings...

* 18 U.S. Code  2074. False weather reports, if you want to look it up.
