On the subject of Trump and drinking bleach to clear your lungs (is that what he said?)

The thing I noticed wasn't what he was saying, but how he was saying it.

It was all "I suggested...." and they said "hmm ... interesting idea, let's look into that"

He could just as easily have picked up from his briefings social distancing, public awareness campaigns, whatever - the key point is that he was initiating that particular conversation, facilitating the cure that was stalled due to the blunders of everyone else. No wonder Kim's his bestest.

I have read the most wonderful limerick about the protests in Michigan

"A mob of the MAGA persuasion
Conducted a statehouse invasion.
Though heavily armed,
They parted unharmed,
And that’s how you know they‘re Caucasian."

Trump is a stupid head. Too over eager to restart the US economy too soon. The country has by far the most cases and deaths. I know the country has a litigious culture. Law firms make loads of money. Would the American people rather sue the Government over losing their jobs because the Federal government were too strict in terms of a lockdown to save lives? Or would the American people sue the Federal government because of too many deaths due to the relaxing of the lockdown too early to save jobs.

What would you choose?

There is a growing suspicion that the rush to get people back to work has a lot to do with removing their rights to unemployment benefits. If their workplace is reopened and they refuse to go back to work then their benefits stop.

So, the Yanks have an election in six months' time, in which one candidate is showing signs of losing his mind to senility and the other has lost his mind to his own personality cult. That only leaves Justin Amash.

Yeah another right wing-nut.

Define "right-wing" - it is variously used for Hitler, who allowed no personal freedom at all and pronounced a national, socialist state; and for libertarians, who would allow excess of personal freedom and far from socialism would have barely a state at all. "Right-wing" is a weird term, apparently meaning just "someone I don't much like".

However, he can't be elected. Apart from being an Arab, a personal habit which Americans dislike, no country in the free world has ever elected a political leader called Justin. (I use the term "free world" carefully.)

Mr Howard, I really don't want to shout obscenities at you from a great height.

But please explain the definition of "free world" which you used in the last paragraph of the post above. It's going to have to be good ...

Mr Howard I would also like you to provide examples of the candidate showing signs of losing his mind to senility because I haven't seen it.

He's failed to recommend drinking bleach. To the brainless right this failure to adopt obviously sensible alternative medical treatments can only be due to senility or communism.

Surely a touchstone of a free country is not having to justify myself to anyone. I am fortunate still to live in a land where I am myself and not allocated to categories in an arbitrary classification system, and where am able to speak freely without consulting a dictionary of acceptable phrases compiled by a wokocracy, and where I am not bundled in front of a criminal court for referring to a man as "him". Such a country could not be considered free, eh.

Perhaps Suze was suggesting that one of the lesser colonies would still qualify as a member of the free world even though it elected Justin Trudeau as its premier.
