I suppose with the growth of tourism to the west coast of Australia, it's no wonder that Quokka selfies sprout up everywhere.

Here are some typical examples:



Quokkas have no natural fear of humans and are usually quite friendly, but they are wild animals and should be allowed to stay that way, so some islands and areas have heavy fines for members of the public if they are caught handling these animals.

This is rather disturbing, but it seem that "Quokka Soccer" was once a thing. And yes, it does involve an improvised living football. :-(
