I have found a possible solution to the problem of forgetting what you were looking for, on your way, and having to go back. I ignore the frustration, and let my feet continue taking me where they want to go. It will be a specific place in a room. When I arrive I look around to see what there is in that location, and almost always see what I was looking for. The only time I didn't know which of two rooms I was headed for, and had to go back, I had been going for a towel hanging on the door between the two rooms. My theory is that today we have too much stuff. In our distant past, what was important was to learn and remember the route we needed to take. When we got there, it was obvious why we went. Hunting, food, shelter etc. While our mind forgets, I think our body knows where it's going. Trust it to take you to the right place. I would be really excited to know if this works for anyone else.

Interesting theory Ron - can't say it works for me though!
