Yeti crabs grow their own food. They live by methane seeps (places that release methane and hydrogen sulfide gas) deep in the ocean. The crabs grow bacteria on their claws, and the bacteria use the gases from the vents as an energy source. Then the crabs eat the bacteria. They also wave their claws around to stir up oxygen and sulfide to help the bacteria grow.

Here's a video of the crab harvesting the bacteria.
