In previous seasons I've had fun thinking of themes starting with that letter and then trying to come up with relevant Qi facts, but I'm having a lot of difficulty imagining what the themes could be for K.

You have the obligatory K Animals, and possibly K countries, and I think Kings and Queens might be a contender. I'd suggest Killers as a subject, perhaps one for Kilogrammes, Kilometres and Kilobytes, and also started a thread about Kissing Cousins, but am a bit stumped for other themes.

Any suggestions?

And if any of the elves/wranglers/work experience can give us hints at some themes, that would be a great start as well :)

keramikos (ceramics)
could introduce a whole lot of stuff, like the whole c/k controversy; how one who knows all there is to know about something like ceremics is 'potty'; kinetics, including 'perpetual motion machines'; keiselguhr and dynamite; Lord Kelvin; 'knock knock' jokes; et ketera et ketera.
And, if you can find it, the famous BBC interlude of 'potters wheel' behind.

Does that mean we'd have to suffer the presence of Johnny Vegas again, since it's his qualified subject?

On the other hand, maybe he'd be a tad more interesting given a subject in which he'd be the expert.

Ooh, Knock Knock, Who's There might be an interesting theme, but I'm not sure some of the other themes suggested are general enough.

As long as the potter in question doesn't use their thumbs.

If you wish to talk about individuals whose names started with a K, how about Sir Alexander Kennedy?
He was an extremely adaptable engineer and lecturer (being a former President of the Institution of Civil Engineer and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, as well as an accomplished electrical engineer) and was one of the first individuals to survey the city of Petra. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Kennedy

What is it about Kennedys and being President?

"I could've been a contender!" (only 1 K made it, of course)
