aka Confucius.

Here's a good game for the show. Which of these did K'ung Fu-tzu not actually say. (An easy one to start with.)

a. Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

b. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.

c. Success depends upon previous preparation, and without such preparation there is sure to be failure.

The first one is by Mohammed Ali, the boxer; he say:
"There aint no shame in going down, its staying down thats shameful."
He also say:
"I may not know what I'm talking about, but I know I'm right."

What is equally interesting about Confucius is hs progeny; to quote Wiki:

Quote:
Confucius's family, the Kongs, has the longest recorded extant pedigree in the world today. The father-to-son family tree, now in its 83rd generation, has been recorded since the death of Confucius. According to the Confucius Genealogy Compilation Committee, he has 2 million known and registered descendants, and there are an estimated 3 million in all.

We also have the case of the childhood of Mencius, Confucius' most famous deciple. The family lived near a cementary, but moved out when the boy started imitating the mourners. They moved to a city, but shifted again when Mencius began imitating the costermongers. Finally, wising up, The family moved to a school; and with predictable results

Don't think we've quite got the hang of the game. You pick two genuwine K'ung Fu-tzu quotes and one fake one that you've made up or stolen from a cartoon, space opera etc, and the panel have to guess which is the fake. I'm already in talks with Channel 5 for the series.

Like this:

a. Ignorance is the night of the mind, but a night without moon and star.

b. To see what is right and not to do it is want of courage.

c. If you are truly at peace, you can do anything.

Extra points are available if the panel can identify the source of the fake quote. Answer below whited out....

The fake is c. It is by Master Shifu from Kung fu Panda.

Hang on - you've got it all wrong. You only seem to like the first three letters of the alphabet - there are about 25 others... or something.

i. Let's see the scores behind the doors...

Isn't it "let's see the scores on the doors"?
