It got Ignotowski from Taxi, I thought everyone had forgotten that character.

It got Latka Gravas, too, but not Boadicea! (or should that be Boudicca?)

Is it an American site, by any chance? It seems to do better on characters from US sitcoms than British ones

Hitler had a much-loved alsatian called Blondi, who was brave enough to die for the Reich by testing out a cyanide pill in the Fürer's bunker, shortly before he and Eva Braun killed themselves.

Hitler's house in Bavaria had a bomb-proof kennel installed as well.

Blondi is also credited with the following Act of State:
Hitler decided to mate his beloved Alsatian dog, Blondi, and summoned a breeder to bring a pedigree male. Hitler asked his butler, after emerging from a briefing about the Eastern front, whether his dog had copulated. “Yes, my Führer, the Act of State has been completed,” Heinz Linge said with heavy humour.

“How did Blondi take it?”

“They both behaved like beginners.”

“How do you mean?” Hitler was genuinely curious.

“They both fell down.” Hitler burst into laughter.,,3-1532240,00.html

Point taken!

But by today's standards,
Was she voted in?
Did she carry the electorate's favour in opinion polls?
Did she go to war with Rome on dodgy 'Intelligence'?

Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose

Actually, yes she did. Whilst there was no actual vote when her husband, the King, died (possably by being poisoned by her) she became queen by common consent, much to the discomfort of the Romans who did not allow women to rule in their own right. Thus the whipping and rape incident, to humiliate the barbarian 'queen', unfortunately what this achieved was to severely piss off the tribesmen, who were of course hunter-warriors to a man (but sadly not, in the end, yer actual soldiers).

A Chinese TV show was looking for a look-a-like for Chairman Mao and found this lady:

She now makes a living as a Mao-a-like and spends around £50 a month on make-up and styling to create Mao's famous receding hairline.
