Funnily enough, our electric shower has been going slow-- we think an element may have failed, so I am having not very warm showers at the moment.
Probably just as well, with all this talk of nekkid ladies....

A friend took me to some strange full moon ceremony once. It was in someone's front room, in Chorleywood IIRC. It was the sort of room you remember from childhood days of visiting your elderly neighbour. The only thing I can recall is that we had to sit, on chairs, in a circle and close our eyes. At the full moon thingy, that is. Mid you, the visits to elderly neighbours were pretty similiar, just without the closing eyes bit.

One tries... there's more mooching around sea, landmarks and markets than the above would reveal...

So you didn't go digging up any WW1 memorabilia?
I thought that's what blokes do when in France.

NB: I wasn't really sure until now that I actually had won. Kinda self-proclaimed my winner status, and was waiting for rebellious noises.

Ten years ago I went to Albert, and followed my grandfather's Anzac batallion's movements - and did the WWI rounds. No digging involved - didn't think of that.

Although this year visited the beaches where some of "The Longest Day" was made - with massive nazi bunkers strangely strewn around. 100% recreational.

My husband enjoyed his time in Brest some 20+ yrs ago, even though at the time it was a work junket - he really had a lovely time and liked the area very much
