This fits into J so...

Can we really not address the Queen as "Her Royal Highness?" It's used for Princes and Princesses and she was a Princess?

Since she was not being addressed as such (i.e. not being written to or spoken to) does it matter?

If you're not going to refer to her as Her Majesty Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and of Her other Realms and Territories, Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith then you might as well just say Liz and have done with it.
