Somehow, this shocks me rather more than if it had been in the UK.

I suppose with 10 billion people on the planet, it's a surprise more aren't seriously defective.

It shocks me more than if it were in Egypt or Syria - which is a sad reflection on the global village...

I wish I was shocked

Truth is that 'Toronto the Good', is a city of over 4 million, and 6 million in the Greater Toronto Area. There are inner city, gang, and drug related violence problems similar to any city of that magnitude.

That this shooting involved innocent bystanders makes it particularly horrific.

I guess I'm just glad that it's still uncommon enough, and Toronto's reputation 'clean' enough that something like this makes international headlines. Would it have if it had been LA? I don't know.
