In the episode "Hypothetical", they talk about soundwaves and such. "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

John Lloyd made the argument, that the recievement of sound (fx by an ear) is crucial for a sound to be "a sound".

But isn't it true, that a very high pitched sound, cand make glass shatter?? I guess the glass then recieves the sound, maybe it doesn't hear it, but it "feels" it..

Just thinking out loud:D

ps loves this show

You could equally argue that the making of a wave that could be received as sound if there was an appropriate receiver nearby would count.
