What with the repeats and random one-offs the BBC air from time to time, I find I'm completely lost regarding where we're up to.

I've just noticed an episode is scheduled for tonight at 22:00 on BBC2. It's billed as a special for the Cultural Olympiad, and also as 19/19.

Has this been a brand new series, because I haven't seen a single one??

This was recorded at the same time as the 'I' series, and is a special based on the work of some bloke called Shakespeare

Unfortunately, due to an oversight, the Shakespeare in question is a plumber from Dudley called Albert.

I'm still none the wiser. Tonight's episode is 19/19. What I'm asking is if this is the series end of a current run or a repeat?

It's not a repeat; it's the last episode of the series.

Console yourself Jud - we're about to start recording the J series, which will be broadcast in the autumn, and in the meantime I'm fairly sure Dave will have the I series on auto-repeat.

:) Thanks very much, Jenny. Can you please do more to promote future series (aside from J which you've done here) so that I don't miss any more? I'm still perplexed as to how I've managed to miss 18 episodes!!

Jud - the usual routine is to record in the the late spring and broadcast for the first time in the autumn, after which it gets picked up by other channels for repeats.

Just a passing thought - maybe you haven't.

If you saw the series which was on television last autumn, starting in September and running to the end of the year, well that was the series of which the last show was broadcast tonight. Yes, it was four months behind the rest of the series.

In fact, there's still one more episode of that series to come, the one featuring Jeremy Clarkson that the BBC chose not to broadcast during the main run. That one is on BBC2 next Friday.

Last night was definately a repeat. Either that or I've just had the most precise experience of deja vu in history. You can't forget swaltery quatch in a hurry

There was a Best of Series compilation and it appeared in that before the episode had aired.

I can't even say 'swaltery quatch' in a hurry, let alone forget it.

As you can see - we don't even get them in the same order - and have seen nothing of anything B.C D or E - let alone H or I. There is no regularity to recent scheduling AND we don't have Dave to fall back on for any repeats...

At the rate we are going I expect we will get up to the 'swaltery quatch' in 2020.

It's all those earthquakes shaking things up out of sequence, Jumper. Nice to see you back here, by the way :-)
