Not getting that one, mike. Give us a clue - what country is it capital of?

Oh! I see what you mean. I did wonder about that.

Monty wasn't Withnail's uncle, he was the uncle of the unnamed "I".

\pedant.

It says here that Monty is Withnail's uncle.

No, I'm relying on imperfect memory but I thought I was right. Apparently not.

Is that Auckland? It's not a capital (though it is larger than Wellington).

I'm just striking a blow for the freedom of expression for non-capitals -- can't we do puns on other place names, pretty please?

Ha! Don't worry, you're not alone. I once received an excited sounding text message from a friend who was spending the day in London with his wife to celebrate her birthday.

The message read "Just got a pic of P* on the tube with I from Withnail & I!"

When I went to his flat for a cuppa a few days later he showed me a photo of his wife sitting next to Richard E Grant.

*his wife's nickname, nowt to do with urinating or car parks

But your friend's wife was sitting next to Withnail, not 'I'

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094336/

And, just to be clear, Monty is Withnail's Uncle, who takes a keen interest in 'I'.
Can't have folk confused about such a great film.

(Surely that was Bondee's point as he was using his friend to illustrate that people's memories are sometimes wrong.)

And other people are utterly capable of making themselves look complete arses when they don't read posts properly.

Well spotted, that Strawberry!
