I couldn't find a suitable existing thread to park this, so I've started one up all of its own. Apologies if it's been posted before.

There are quite a few interesting snippets in the Wiki article, so I'll just post a link.

Good link, that. Will save it for tomorrow. How did you hear about that phenomenon, Spud?

I think hares are beautiful animals and was just googling facts about them. Up came "three hares" and I thought of some people who might find it interesting...

There are many examples of this 'puzzle picture', which may be related to the three hares.

But in the above picture that wouldn't apply, would it?

I note with interest that in this picture, the spaces between the hares form a triskei of three legs, like a van Escher puzzle picture.

It took me ages to see the hares in that one! The red negative space stands out so much more than the animals.

I didn't have any problems. However - show me a lunar landscape with all them craters, and I really have to concentrate to see them as dips in stead of hills. All to do with the shadows.

What have they (pic of The Shadows) got to do with it?
Well, to judge by the music, they'd only got 3 ears between the lot of 'em...
