Turtle Eggs

There's a new article on the University of Western Sydney website about their research on turtles. They've confirmed that they're able to communicate with one another from their eggs to synchronise hatching and enable more of them to survive predators on their initial trek to the ocean.

The exact method of communication is still a mystery, but the press release is quite interesting indeed:

Something at the very distant recesses of my memory suggests I've read similar things about birds as well.
