Hi everyone,

I just thought I'd put this notice up here, as lots of people are asking about tickets for the 2006 recording sessions of QI. We're pretty excited about it too.

Tickets to attend the recordings are issued on a first-come, first-served basis a month or two before recording starts, and the BBC uses The Applause Store to distribute them. They are free, and you can reserve them online a few weeks prior to the recordings.

We'll let you know when they become available.

You can actually register at The Applause Store now and put your name on a pre-reservation list for QI.

As I have just done.

See you at the recording - hopefully.

Yes, although a lot of people tried that last year, but Applause Store's promise to let people know when the tickets went on sale didn't seem to hold true.

Maybe they've fixed their system by now...

Not "on sale" as such, of course, as they're free.

I must say that I have not experienced a problem with the Applause store letting me know when I have pre-reserved before. There again I have only been using them for around 6 months.

Hopefully the call will come when the dates are announced.

Anyone know if recordings finish before 24th Jan when I turn 18?

They won't be till the spring at the earliest, grizzly. You'll be well out of hibernation.

What day of the week are the recordings taking place?

I can arrange visits to London to coincide given sufficient warning

No plans yet, Carl. Could be any weekday evening in principle (depending on Stephen & Alan's availability amongst other things) but at the moment we don't even know what month we're talking about.
