Jumping tower bridge in a bus!

Quite disappointed that in the show tomight that the no 78 bus depicted as an example of the bus that jumped the bridge was a Routemaster (RM). That type of bus was not in service in London at that time, RM's only appeared in service much later.

The bus that jumped was actually a RT type double decker (RT 793 in fact) this type began service in the capital in 1939 and the last one left LT service in 1979.

This model was used well into the 60s on the 229 route - Orpington to Bexleyheath.
