I'm checking the Christmas radio times, and there are a few repeats scheduled. The 29 December 11.30pm episode is currently unannounced, so I'm guessing that'll be the regular version of 'Infantile'.

Couldn't we have had an(the)other as yet unbroadcast ep. excepting the the Christmas Special though?

I think the only unbroadcast episodes left are the Xmas special (scheduled for Xmas) and the Shakespeare special (scheduled for next year during the BBC's Shakespeare season).

So I guess the answer to your question is "no"

Ah. I didn't know there was a Shakespeare special although I dare say by the time that would have come round in Shakespeare season I'd be ready to watch it again. At the moment I'm listening to the show with one ear while I type but it's not getting my full attention. XL tomorrow may well find me in front of the screen however because of the usual improvement in the show that the extra 15 mins allows.

Who's on the Shakespeare ep?

According to Wikipedia, which always seems to know what is happening in QI Land, that one will feature Bill Bailey, David Mitchell, and Sue Perkins.

It will presumably air at about the same time as the BBC shows its new TV version of the Henriad (i.e. Richard II, Henry IV Pts 1 and 2, and Henry V). Patrick Stewart plays John of Gaunt, Jeremy Irons plays Henry IV, Julie Walters plays Mistress Quickly, and all sorts of other people you've heard of appear too.

Only one of the four movies has actually been made yet, so I don't imagine this will be in the early part of the year.

Wow.

Talk about must see television.

Who's playing Henry V?

Tom Hiddleston. That name didn't mean anything to me, but his list of credits is quite an impressive one.

Given that the four plays do form a series, the BBC would probably choose to show them on four consecutive evenings. Given that three of them are yet to be filmed they probably won't be ready for Easter, so my guess would be the Diamond Jubilee weekend at the start of June.

His rash fierce blaze of riot cannot last,
For violent fires soon burn out themselves;
But just in case they don't raise shields and arm photon torpedos."

Are they not to be a part of the World Shakespeare Festival that is part of the Cultural Olympiad?
