| I remember Jo Brand getting an obscure answer right and admitting to talking about the subject with the producer during lunch and Alan benig surprised because he was there but didn't realise what they were talking about. |

I think you are talking about termites admiting more methane than any other animal in the "Electricity" episode. It was actually Alan who got the question right and he only knew about it because John Lloyd accidentally let it slip at the dinner that he and Jo were at. |

It also turned up in an episode of The Great British Bake Off a few weeks ago when they went to Melton Mowbray.
Is this, in fact, the most famous pork pie shoppe in the world now? |

I can't think of any other shop which sells just pork pies. |

Sadly, this one doesn't just sell pork pies either:
| Quote: | | Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe bakes artisan bread, authentic pork pies and many other products, and the Sausage Shop makes and sells its own range of premium sausages. The two shops sell local Stilton, pickles and preserves |

| For reasons that may or may not be obvious, this week's 'Idleness' has been postponed. In its place is your chance to watch Episode One again... |

Shame really, I was looking forward to seeing Jesser displaying more of his trademark diplomacy and general goodwill.
Couldn't we have had an(the)other as yet unbroadcast ep. excepting the the Christmas Special though? |

I think the only unbroadcast episodes left are the Xmas special (scheduled for Xmas) and the Shakespeare special (scheduled for next year during the BBC's Shakespeare season).
So I guess the answer to your question is "no" |

Wow, thanks. If it's all the same, I won't bother - seen that one, got it recorded, don't need to see it again now.
Since we never got to see Episode 11 (pre-empted by Never Mind the Buzzcocks on Comic Relief night), why couldn't they have shown that one in this slot?
Putting it another way, that's twice in three weeks that we've not been shown the episode we might have expected on a Friday night, and that's two episodes that we'll probably never see unless we scan Dave schedules with a tooth comb for the next five years.
Not impressed. |

We did get episode 11, albeit in XL form only. |

Yes, it was shown on the Saturday - but I don't watch XL. The 30 minute version of that show has never been broadcast. Perhaps it never will be.
A Friday night 30 minute slot in which you claim to be unable to broadcast the scheduled episode would surely be an ideal opportunity to broadcast a previously unseen Friday night 30 minute show. Instead of which, we're getting a repeat that hardly anyone will watch, and we now have two editions of the show in limbo with nothing better than a vague suggestion that they'll probably be broadcast sometime. |

Surely that's counter intuitive if XL's the only option. I understand why you wouldn't watch the 30 minute show and the XL one. Why not Skyplus the show and fast forward bits you don't want to see so that it becomes 30 minutes? (Or you could somehow watch it 60% slower, that would work). |

So basically only you and anybody else bloody-minded enough not to watch the XL didn't get to see it. Not a great argument, frankly. |
