I made a great salad dressing - a large spoonful of pesto, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I had some left over from the salad I ate yesterday, so today I put some in a small bowl and dipped cooked shrimp into it and ate that for lunch. Yum!

Great idea, Jenny! I'll copy that, if I may :)

Jenny's Dressing. Sounds good. Follow in Paul Newman's footsteps.

Just took a serviceberry and white chocolate pie out of the oven and put in a lasagna florentine. Both smell delicious.

serviceberry

Now there's a fruit that I'd have not heard mentioned for rather a lot of years! Is it in fact the same thing which we call "Saskatoon berry" out West?

It is indeed! Amelanchier, more properly. F-i-l (a horticulturist) calls it that. I call it serviceberry. My stepfather calls it sarvisberry. It's got all sorts of names.

A serviceberry sounds so... practical.

Snyder's Buffalo Wing Pretzel Pieces, and far too many of them for my own good. Aldi better get rid of their 4th July American delicacies hangover soon or my further weightloss plans are doomed.

Buy them yourself - just to be sure they're gone.
