Ooh, you can see where I used to live in that pic. Just behind the base of the statue, on the left hand side of the pic, you can see the halls of residence at Stirling Uni where I lived in my first year. |

Loch Laggan pic is very nice Leith.
I was up at 4 and out into the wilds this morning hoping for a sunrise shot - cloud buggered that up, but I managed to get a few nice ones nonetheless. Watch this space. Or rather the spaces below this space. |

Murray Hall, then back to the chalets in Pendreich Way for 3rd year (excellent as I could get out of bed, dressed, smoke a cigarette and be in the Aquaculture institute labs in less than 5mins), and Spital Hill for 4th year. |

| Those last two are post 1981, I think the chalets opened in 1982, I seem to remember visiting some friends there after a night in the Grange. |

Sizes apart, if it was singing, then more likely a chaffinch (and a male one if colourful as a jay). Jays occasionally sing, but mostly just caw (being corvids). |

| Yup I think it was a chaffinch, now I think of it... dunno why jay was even an option -- it was quite wee, and jays have been referred to as "crows in smart clothes" |
