Variety of pics taken in and around Stirling campus circa 1980, I think!

We went on a 'twilight tour'* of the Tower of London the other day.

*No, we didn't see any vampires, silly.

Not exactly landscape, but I suppose they qualify as scenery

How long did you live on campus before you climbed Dumyat? I went for a walk up on one of the first weekends I was there (to walk off a hangover), but know people who never, ever went up the back of the campus in all their time at Stirling.

Went up there hammered sometime in the spring of my first year. Used to walk around the Hermitage wood all the time and up the back of the old graveyard and up to where the old mines were. I think they were lead mines.

Ooh, you can see where I used to live in that pic.

That was my first visit to Stirling. We stopped there overnight on the way up north, and spent the morning exploring the castle (which we had pretty much to ourselves) and the old part of town. Looked like a great place to live from first impressions.

That must to be one of the most picturesque campus locations in the UK, I should think. Like the framing of that top picture.

We loved the place, certainly a great environment to do all those studenty things.

Best mate and I went to a re-enactment day at the castle and bought foam swords, which we used to do battle with each other and other people's small children. Also did the same at Bannockburn.

Messing about on picnik dot com (not advertising!) and came up with this.

I took this in Wales on one of my outings. It was a wonderful morning and I just had to stop, on my way back from Portmadoc, to capture this.
Until today I really thought had lost this image but I found a copy on my office PC.

That's beautiful! Can you make it a bit smaller, so I can see it without scrolling left and right?

Lovely reflection hobbitual. It would look good in black and white, methinks. I could do it for you if you like.
