It would be appopriate at this point to mention the fact that "iluminati" literally means"enlightend ones"- some consolation fron this common playground insult.......

(no. really. at my primary and secondary schools, people [albeit rarely] insulted others by saying "x is the iluminati")

Would that be Mr. P. Dow of Dow Chemical, because I'm sure they are paid-up members.

Chemicals are probably involved in some way, but I don't think he's anything to do with the company.

A favourite insult at my school was "you Homeo Sapiens". I still think it's rather symptomatic that they never cottoned on to the far more amusing possibilities of "you Homo Erectus".

And on AFB's post, apparently you can't refer to someone as a Neanderthal, as they were not the stupid cavepeople they were made out to be...

The Illuminatus! Trilogy is a series of three novels written by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson first published in 1975.[1] The trilogy is a satirical, postmodern, science fiction-influenced adventure story; a drug-, sex- and magick-laden trek through a number of conspiracy theories, both historical and imaginary, which hinge around the authors' version of the Illuminati. The narrative often switches between third and first person perspectives and jumps around in time. It is thematically dense, covering topics like counterculture, numerology and Discordianism.

Well worth a read, with or without chemical enhancement!

There is some substance to the theory that a small group of well-placed people have, in the recent past, organised major events.
This is referred to in Rudyard Kipling's story 'Kim' as the 'Great Game', which was a conspiracy to reduce the influence of Russia in the World. One result of the Great Game was the Great War (now called World War One), another was the Russian Revolution of 1917, which was engineered by the conspirators with the purpose of taking Tsarist Russia out of the Game and the War.
Another part of the Game was the Hindu-German Conspiracy of 1915-17, which caused several uprisings against British rule in the far East, and brought Turkey into an alliance with Germany.
The rest, as they say, is history.
