You don't know how lucky you are, you men, never having to wear a bra.)

Perhaps more by luck than judgment, I have in fact had a No Bra Day. That'll be because I'm on vacation, and when on vacation I wear a bra as little as possible. (i.e. pretty much not at all, unless I go to Mass on Sunday - which I didn't this time.)

Well, just because we don't have to, that doesn't mean we don't.

;)

"National No Bra Day" sounds a lovely idea, but I think it will flop.

I thought you'd already be abreast of the situation Mike?

Whether or not you observe No Bra Day is of course up to you.

But it's a bit of a myth that the larger busted woman needs to wear a bra all the time. For vigorous exercise or sports, yes, but not for ordinary activity.

Try going without sometime, and notice how much less your shoulders hurt.

I'm a bit ignorant here - why do women wear bras?

For support and to stop unecessary bounceage.

Well that's what I assumed Arcane - but that makes nonsense of suze's post

Aaaaah.

The wearage of bras is largely a personal choice.

Now I understood the opposite of suze - that in the larger chested woman, wearing a bra could PREVENT neck and back strain (I know I am definitely more uncomfortable without a bra or some kind of support, the heat and humidity makes it unpleasant at times so it's a catch 22). Some smaller breasted women may not wish to wear one at all. Western women seem to have been drummed into that wearing a bra is almost, well, seemly, not to mention preventing undesirable droopage.

Again, many factors come into play; size, age, elasticity of individual skin, weight gain and loss, pregnancy/breastfeeding, exercise levels, etc.

I remain none the wiser. But then I never did understand women (that'll come as no great surprise to many).

Perhaps you would get an answer if you made what you were trying to find out a bit clearer?

You asked why women wore bras, I explained.

You said it made a nonsense of suzes post because she said that she feels better without a bra. Some women do, some women don't.

That is all. It's not astrophysics!

You mean you can't give us any explanatory equations?
