QUESTION:

Where are the British Mountains?:

FORFEIT:

BRITAIN, SCOTLAND, WALES, LONDON*:

ANSWER:

The extreme north of North America, straddling the border between Alaska in the US and the Yukon in Canada:

NOTES:

The British Mountains are a sub-range of the vast Brooks Range that covers much of northern Alaska.

Tucked away between the Richardson Mountains and the Davidson Mountains, the British Mountains rise out of Alaska's northern coastal plain and from their icy heights the rivers Malcolm, Babbage and Blow flow down into the Arctic Ocean or, more specifically, the Beaufort Sea.

*Believe it or not, this is the answer Justin Gayner gave when I asked him

Sorry to sink the oldest non-sticky single-entry thread, JJ.

You could as well ask, " What sort of fish could you expect to catch in the English River system?"

A: "Walleye, smallmouth bass, northern pike, and in some places, even lake trout".

Looks like you've foiled JJ's attempt at a ZRP...
