No QI XL this week?

756553.  Sun Oct 31, 2010 6:34 am Reply with quote

Nope. They cancelled it for some Elton John thingy. There's a thread about it in the "Green Room" area.
They just love messing us about, don't they?

And none next week either. The cnuts.

Best option really is to have a damn good moan to the tossers at the Beeb.

If enough of us moan then maybe it will register in their dull, lifeless brains.

Hello all.

Gutted, no XL, I never watch the Friday night episodes as I always save myself for the XL edition, not this week though :(

I've been a member a while, just prefer to read than post, might start chipping in a bit more.

Whatever you feel comfortable with.

I usually don't bother with the half hour show, either. Not this week, too :(

I've noticed the half-hour shows can have little bits that don't make the XL edit ("Why do you say Handy like that"?)

But yeah, not getting the XL's is annoying...

Three weeks in a row with no XLs now. This time itís being elbowed for a repeat - a REPEAT, mark you - of the Goodies Night they did ages ago. Thatís seven times now theyíve done this: four from series G, three and probably counting from this one.

QI is the new thing to dump when the BBC have some essential filler to show.

I did hear tell that Dave is showing the XLs weíve missed, but you know what theyíre like - finding when theyíre going to be shown is like trying to find a Jeremy Kyle Show target*cough*guest with an IQ in triple figures. And the ads in the middle of it all arenít exactly what we pay the TV Tax for, now are they? Screws my collection right up.

A bit of digging tells me that the XL for Horrible is due on BBC2 20 Nov. Iíll believe it when it happens - as Iíll be in Edinburgh from Thursday, Iíll have to make sure thereís space on the hard drive recorder before I go.

I think that's right.

There's no QI on BBC1 next Friday, because it's Children in Need night. (There's no special QI with Pudsey Bear on this year.)

But the Saturday slot has, for once, not been taken up by something else - and so BBC2 will show one of the "missing" XL shows.

How very generous of the BBC for affording us a viewing of an episode of QI XL. I feel that we must be eternally grateful and show that gratitude by including them in our prayers every night.

Or maybe not.
