Is anybody else having this problem? When I read a thread, it continues to be flagged as unread by the icon next to the thread list. Started happening just a few days ago.

This is a sporadic problem. The way to solve it is to log out of the talk forums, delete any cookies in your browser that relate to qi.com, then log in again.

It would be great if there was just a "Mark forum as read" thingy - msot other forums I've seen seem to have them, but not this one - I have to go into and back out of every topic (or move away from the site/close the window) if I want them to be marked as read.

I seem to recall the original reason for not having the mark as reasd button was becase everything here is interesting, so why wouldn't you actually want to read it.

Of course times change.

Some of the threads are only interesting if you're into that particular subject ;).

Quite so. Personally I find political and economic discussion as exciting as reading a blank sheet of paper, but others evidently like them and find discussions about military matters boring.

A "mark as read" function would be very welcome.
