Not really, it is an optimal keyboard layout to reduce the amount of time taken to move the fingers between the keys.

And the world is biased against the lefties. I know a lefty friend of mine who writes right to left for note-taking. It works for him, I guess.

I always make a point of giving any leftie I like a Left-handed mug, with a message on it. It amuses the man in the mug shop, anyway, but it generally delights the recipients.

Incidentally, keyboard guy did claim to be related to composer guy. But he seems never to have specified precisely what the relationship is, so his claim perhaps has to be treated with some skepticism.

I've always used a left-handed Rotring calligraphy pen on paper that hasn't too much grain. My hand rests on the curled little finger which lies below the writing line, thus keeping the rest of the hand off the paper.
But I must admit that copying Arabic scripts is a joyous exercise.
